Weapon: A crossbow was used in an armed robbery today
The PSNI are investigating after a man walked into a shop in Belfast armed with a crossbow.
The man entered the shop on the Newtonards Road at about 9.10am this morning.
He made threats to staff with the weapon before escaping with a sum of money.
The man was wearing a camouflage jacket, jeans and runners.
No staff were injured in the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information that will assist the investigation, to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Back in April, a man robbed a cafe in the city with a crossbow.
