The man was alerted by friends that there were naked pictures of him on his Facebook page
A woman has admitted to uploading naked images of her ex to his Facebook page via his smartphone.
A report in today's Irish Daily Star reveals the details from a family law case.
The woman had applied for a Safety Order against the man after telling the court her ex had slapped her across the face in her home last November 18.
The court then heard how the man had been alerted by friends that naked pictures of him had appeared on his Facebook page. He went to Gardai but did not make a complaint as he suspected he knew who had put up the images.
Under questioning from the judge the woman admitted she had taken the man's smartphone and uploaded the intimate pictures.
The woman told the court that the man's behaviour had changed, saying he had become aggressive and that he was taking drugs.
She also said that during a visit to see their child he had turned around and slapped her in the face. The woman claimed she was 'afraid for my safety and my child's safety' and that was why she was applying for a Safety Order.
The man denied he was ever violent towards the woman and his solicitor told the court that the man had received 100 text messages from the woman since November 18, asking him to call her.
The man had also blocked his ex on Facebook.
The judge refused the application by the woman, citing insufficient evidence.
