A YOUTH, who was part of a gang which caused €15,000 worth of damage at a Dublin train station, has been remanded in custody pending sentence.
The 16-year-old boy pleaded guilty today at the Dublin Children's Court to trespassing and causing criminal damage to shutter doors, carpets, a fire extinguisher, a security door, a ceiling, a door access panel and a ticket vending machine at Fonthill train station on October 28th last.
The court heard there were three teens who broke into the station and caused the damage. They were trying to climb out the roof when they were caught by gardai.
The youth, who was accompanied to court by his lawyer and family members, was further remanded in custody to appear again in two weeks.
Judge John O'Connor asked for a pre-sentence probation report to be furnished to the court.
