Gardai are investigating a shooting that took place in Dunboyne Castle, Co Meath this morning.
The incident occurred at around 4.15am this morning, when two shots were discharged at a house in The Green, Dunboyne Castle, Co Meath.
There were no injuries sustained by any person during the incident.
Damage was caused to the front sitting room window and door. A dark red or maroon-coloured car was seen driving away from the scene at the time of the shooting.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information on the incident, or who might have seen any suspicious activity in the area around Dunboyne Castle housing estate in the early hours of this morning, to contact Ashbourne garda station on 01 8010600, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
